FAQs
To fit a new blade cartridge from your Gillette big pack, start by ejecting the old one from your handle. There's a button to do this which you press – for a Gillette Labs handle, for example, simply push on the dial to release the current set of blades safely. Next, insert your handle into the Gillette 16 blades set without removing a new cartridge first. You will hear a click as the handle connects to the new blade head. Then, simply withdraw your handle and the new cartridge will be released from its holder in the Gillette 16-pack ready for use.
The five-bladed cartridges in this collection of Gillette big packs will last for almost a year (320 days) based on shaving seven times a week and considerably longer than that if you only shave a few times a week. It will depend on how well you look after your blades when they're not in use and how coarse your hair happens to be. A 16-pack of Mach3 blades, which have a three-bladed design, will last around eight months when used daily for shaving. Need even longer? If so, check out Gillette's 24-pack razor blades.
After shaving with any of the Gillette 16 blades in your pack, rinse the blades in fresh water to remove shaving foam and shards of hair. Refrain from wiping the blades which can interfere with their spacing and mountings. Simply allow them to dry in the air instead. Keep unused blades in their pack somewhere dry until you need them.
